Introduction

Jinnah College of Nursing Abbottabad is the part of project PEPS named as Professional education & promotion society established in 2002. This is a registered society under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agency Ordinance 1961. Jinnah College of Nursing Abbottabad was started as Jinnah School of nursing for 3 years nursing diploma programme in 2016 and upgraded to the level of nursing college in 2019. Jinnah College of Nursing Abbottabad is recognized by Pakistan Nursing, Council and registered by Health Foundation, Govt of KPK and Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) KPK.

Philosophy

The philosophy of JCN comprises the philosophy of nursing ethical values and principles for the education and professional development of nurses. The focus of nursing education in the college is to develop commitment among learners to practice nursing ethics, empathy and professionalism while providing nursing care at various levels of the health care system.

Post Basic Diploma Programs

• Paediatric Nursing Diploma
• Intensive Care Nursing Diploma

GENERIC BSN (4 Years) Program

1. Sc. (pre-medical) or equivalent with 50 % percent marks from any recognized institute.
2. Age Limit 17 to 30 years.

• All applications for admissions should be on the prescribed form annexed to the prospectus obtained from the college office or sending a bank draft or pay order of Rs. 1000 in favor of Managing Director WIRS, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope having stamps for Rs: 50/ or directly from the office of WIRS on payment of Rs: 1000/.

1. The final selection will be made purely on merit basis by the selection board by observing all the necessary codal formalities as required under the rules for such process.

Instruction for Admission Form

The candidates should attach the attested copies of the following documents with the admission form in Jinnah College of Nursing.

1. Four copies of Detail Marks Certificate of F.Sc or equivalent certificate.
2. Four copies of Secondary School Certificate.
3. Four copies of Domicile Certificate.
4. Four copies of National Identity Card of the candidate.
5. Two copies of National Identity Card of the father of applicant; if the father is not alive, two copies of National Identity Card of the guardian. For foreign/ overseas applicants, a photo copy of first two pages of their passport.
6. Original Migration Certificate from a Board/ Institution from where the applicant has passed the last examination.
7. Undertaking should be provided on judicial stamp paper of Rs. 50/- duly attested by first class magistrate/ political agent as per specimen given in the prospectors/ admission form

POST-RN BSN (2 Years) Program

1. Matric Science and Arts. 50% marks.
2. Diploma in General Nursing Registered with PNC.

• Diploma in Midwifery

1. Candidate must have minimum of one year clinical experience after midwifery / Specialty.
2. PNC registered card.
3. The final selection will be made purely on merit basis by the selection board by observing all the necessary codal formalities as required under the rules for such process.
